THE ISLAND
Located in the Torres Strait, Roko Island is a small privately owned Island by the Tchen Pan family. It is only about 20 minutes boat ride from the Seisia wharf, Cape York and about an hour from Thursday Island.
Roko Island used to be a pearl farm cultivating South Sea pearls. It is now focusing on glamping (glamour camping) accommodations and day tours to the Island to share this little piece of paradise with other people. We also provide fishing charters, land based 4WD activities and other customized boat tours.
During your stay, you may also get the opportunity to buy our pearls. Roko Pearls has been one among a few pearl farms producing White South Sea Pearls directly in the location where the first cultured pearl was born, the Torres Strait in Queensland.
